Modus FX has recently completed and delivered visual effects shots for the movie The American, based on the Martin Booth novel, A Very Private Gentleman. The visual effects were delivered to Focus Features, who is both producer and distributor for the action drama brought to life by acclaimed director, Anton Corbijn.

The large-scale production was shot in Italy and Sweden early in 2010. George Clooney, Thekla Reuten, Bruce Altman and Irina Björklung feature among the cast members on the film, which is due for a North-American release on September 1st, 2010.

Rumors are already running strong on the possibility of The American being invited to several prestigious festivals across the globe (including the 67th Venice International Film Festival).
